The groundbreaking Surf Abu Dhabi Pro is in the history books with Flick Palmateer, Joe Turpel, and Jesse Mendes re-living Caitlin Simmers and Italo Ferreira's wins. A momentous day in the deserts of Abu Dhabi concluded with Simmers and Ferreira taking wins and the yellow leaders jerseys in the process heading to Portugal. An intense women's Final left Simmers needing to bring her best on her last wave to beat Molly Picklum and the reigning World Champ responded. For Ferreira, a dominant run ended in brilliance with a 17.27 heat total taking down an in-form Rio Waida for a 10th CT victory. The world's best now await the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal beginning March 15 through 25.
