The event will run from November 15 - 17 and will attract a huge field of international surfers with some of the sports biggest names vying for a spot on the elite Championship Tour in 2020. WSL Asia / Pacific General Manager Andrew Stark believes this event is one of the most important on the Women's QS calendar.
"The 2019 women's QS season will culminate at Port Stephens QS and will decide the qualifying surfers for 2020," Stark said. "There are a number of highly-rated QS events on the women's calendar but the Port Stephens Toyota Pro is where the qualification race climaxes. The event is a massive insight into the future of women's surfing and will play a vital role in deciding who will qualify for the 2020 Championship Tour. We're proud to have some of the sport's biggest names return to Australia for such a pivotal event."

"The Port Stephens Toyota Pro pres. by Sisstrevolution plays a vital role for any female surfer with Championship Tour aspirations," Madden said. "Over the last two years, the event has seen its share of triumphs and upsets and provides a climactic end to the Women's Qualifying Series for the year."

Port Stephens Council Mayor Ryan Palmer is thrilled to see a major international event return to the region and can't wait to see the worlds best descend on the Port Stephens area once again.
"The Port Stephens Toyota NSW Pro pres. by Sisstrevolution has become a key annual event for us and we're proud to be hosting it for the third consecutive year," Palmer said. "Port Stephens is a year-round surfing and event destination, so it's fantastic to welcome back so many pro surfers to enjoy the breaks here and show our juniors how it's done. The event drives economic benefit to our region, promotes Port Stephens to a national and international audience and provides a unique opportunity to build participation in female surfing. That's why Port Stephens Council is looking forward to developing a long-term partnership with Surfing NSW and WSL so that we can continue to support this event for many years to come."

"It is a huge honor for the Hunter region to have the women's QS season finish here," said Burton. "I've lived a surfer's lifestyle for as long as I can remember and to be able to get involved with this event and blend my passion for surfing with my business is a real blessing. I'm truly stoked to be involved with this event again and look forward to seeing what new talents will emerge to qualify for the CT next year."
