Adrian Buchan had a tough match on his hands in Round Three facing off against former event winner Mick Fanning. And Fanning, the 3x World Champ, jumped out to an early lead, which he likes to do. But with conditions improving in the late afternoon Buchan seemed to recall something important: that he's a former champ in Tahiti, too. The stylish goofyfooter made a late charge in a match that became one of the better ones of the day. With the help of this 8.70, Buchan moved through to finals day.
