Conner Coffin redeemed himself against Brazilian flyboy Wiggolly Dantas in Round Two. Earlier this year, Dantas took down Coffin at the Fiji Pro due to a controversial interference call. With re-qualification on the line, the rookie came out blazing. He really applied the pressure toward the end of the heat with a series of backhand hits on a running left, earning a 9.00.
Sitting at No. 25 on the Jeep Leaderboard, Coffin's Round Two win will be crucial for his re-qualification hopes. At this point, he cannot earn a Championship Tour slot by way of the Qualifying Series. He needs to produce solid results in the final three CT events in order to crack the Top 22.
