The 17-year-old Australian has been firing warning shots all year, winning numerous Junior events and a QS1000 back home. But he's all done with warnings. Now that we've entered crunch time on the QS, he's been inflicting serious damage, starting with a big result in Ballito, South Africa.

That result vaulted him to No. 6 on the QS rankings. But he wasn't done. His huge performance in Huntington Beach has vaulted him to No. 2.
