Carissa Moore (Oahu, HAW) (pictured) placed runner-up at the ASP Subaru Pro in Taranaki New Zealand when she was defeated by Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) in the final on Saturday April 30, 2011.Moore suffered a wave starved heat choosing to sit on the opposite bank to her opponent which ultimately cost her the victory as well as the World No. 1 position. Fitzgibbons's victory moved the Australian up to the ASP World No. 1 position just 500 point ahead of Moore who is now at World No. 2.
