Lakey Peterson (USA) goes up against Nikki Van Dijk (AUS) in a battle to move on to the Quarters in Cascais.
In a scrappy battle to stay in the event, Lakey Peterson and Nikki Van Dijk traded waves in tricky conditions. It was Peterson, though, who posted a set of higher scores that put her firmly in the lead: With a 7.00 and a 6.17, she stayed a few steps ahead of her opponent, who wasn't quite able to to catch up.
When the final horn sounded, Van Dijk still needed a 7.57, and was eliminated from the competition.

Aussie Tyler Wright goes up against French surfer Pauline Ado in a battle to move on to the Quarterfinals.
Saturday the event moved to a new spot, Praia de Bafureira, which featured wide open line of waves for the continuation of Round 4. Pauline Ado opened the heat with long righthander, putting a four-pointer on her scoreline. She backed it up with a 5.50, taking an early lead and staying active in a brand-new setting.
But Tyler Wright wasn't deterred. The momentum that began for her in France just kept going as she brought out her power game, floaters and progressive style. With a 6.50 and an 8.90 before it was all said and done, she took the heat and was on to the Quarters.
