The Catch Up Day 4: Fortune favors the bold in Ballito, event heavyweights upheaved

The tension rose at the Ballito Pro Presented by O'Neill with CT experience being put to the test against the Challenger Series' rising contenders.

It was all about the airshow in today's proceedings and who could boost above and beyond. Mateus Herdy, Shion Crawford, and Matthew McGillivray. But it was Lucas Cassity who catapulted himself into surfing stardom with the season's first 10-point ride as the 16-year-old took down CT qualification threats. Oscar Berry looked in form and surged into the Round of 16 alongside former CTer Jacob Willcox and perennial CT qualification notable Jorgann Couzinet. George Pittar is eying his way back to the CT and delivered a clutch performance.Plus, rising contenders made a statement all their own as they look to make a charge toward becoming a 2026 CT Rookie when the dust settles at season's end.

Now, head-to-head bouts await both men and women's competition with the Round of 16 hanging in the balance.
