3x World Champ: Florence Joins the Three World Title Club in Jaw-Dropping Fashion

After 2019 WSL Champion Italo Ferreira pushed John John Florence against the ropes in Title Match 1 and Florence answered with excellence, Florence laid down the highest single-wave score in WSL Finals history with a 9.70 to start Title Match 2. Ferreira's 8.17 kept him well in the heat, but Florence wasn't done and unloaded on one of the sets of the day to post an 8.43 and push Ferreira to needing a 9.96. The horn sounded to Florence and Hawaii's avail, earning Florence his third World Title to join the likes of one of his heroes Andy Irons
