The women's Final 5 contenders handled their business with World No. 1 Brisa Hennessy holding firm into the Quarterfinals alongside in-form surfing from Caitlin Simmers, Molly Picklum, and Johanne Defay. Reigning World Champ, and event victor, Caroline Marks showed her resilience in the Elimination Round alongside Tatiana Weston-Webb, Gabriela Bryan, and with first eliminations dealt for women. World No. 3 Jack Robinson set the standard before rankings leader John John Florence and 2x WSL Champ Gabriel Medina and Yago Dora elevated it to another scale.
