LOS ANGELES, Calif., USA (Wednesday, April 24, 2024) - The World Surf League (WSL) and title partner SHISEIDO are counting down to the upcoming SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro presented by Outerknown, scheduled for May 22 - 31, 2024. The SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro will host and showcase the world's best surfers at the world-renowned Teahupo'o in Tahiti at the same venue as the Olympic Games Paris 2024 this summer.
As part of the WSL and SHISEIDO's continued and expanded partnership, SHISEIDO will continue as WSL's Global Sustainability Partner and the Official Suncare of WSL North America, while growing the partnership to include the Global Official Suncare of the WSL, Official Partner of the WSL CT, and Title partner for CT Stop No. 6, the SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro.

Title Partnership of SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro presented by Outerknown
For the second year in a row, SHISEIDO has come on board as title partner of the Tahiti Pro and this year's event is particularly special. 2024 is an Olympic year and surfing will once again feature, this time at the iconic Teahupo'o. The SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro will be a unique opportunity to witness the world's best surfers compete at the Olympic surfing venue ahead of the Games.
Sustainability Efforts at SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro presented by Outerknown
As part of SHISEIDO's commitment to ocean conservation and their role as WSL's Global Sustainability Partner, they are underscoring their support which helps fund critical environmental projects to safeguard our ocean through the global WSL PURE grant program. These funds are used to support projects across the globe such as the coral restoration project in Tahiti with Coral Gardeners, which is powering community-driven initiatives that elevate local awareness and engagement. Through hands-on workshops, including the remarkable expansion of the coral nursery garden in Teahupo'o initiated during the SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro, this program is embedding the importance of coral ecosystems directly into the hearts of communities and surfers alike.
For the 2024 edition of the SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro, SHISEIDO will once again join forces with WSL One Ocean and Coral Gardeners to improve the health of corals in and around Teahupo'o. In addition to the significant donation SHISEIDO has made to the WSL One Ocean program on behalf of these initiatives, the brand will make an incremental donation directly to Coral Gardeners to continue the great work protecting the iconic Tahitian reefs via coral restoration projects.
Tahiti Bound Championed by SHISEIDO
SHISEIDO is the official partner of WSL's Qualification Season campaign, which drives excitement and anticipation ahead of the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games by highlighting WSL athlete journeys to Paris 2024 via live broadcast and social media integrations.
The WSL and SHISEIDO have also partnered with NBC on a new series, Tahiti Bound Championed By SHISEIDO. This Highlight Show will feature the journeys of qualified Olympians and Team USA athletes on the CT and the road to the Games in Tahiti. CNBC will air the six action-packed episodes of Tahiti Bound Championed By SHISEIDO. The first three episodes are available to watch on Peacock and WorldSurfLeague.com.
