The 2022 World Title contender Kanoa Igarashi is looking to kickstart his year after an early exit at Pipe and posted a 7.33 in his Sunset Beach debut. Igarashi overpowered higher seed Yago Dora and CT returner Frederico Morais. Morais will have to deal with the Elimination Round while Igarashi and Dora jump into the Round of 32.
