Cybersecurity company Surfshark has become a partner of the World Surf League (WSL), the global home of professional surfing. The WSL's Championship Tour is the highest level of competitive surfing and is broadcast globally to millions of fans across its platforms. Surfshark will partner with the WSL's major North American events on the WSL Championship Tour.
With this partnership starting this year, Surfshark is the official cybersecurity partner of the WSL in the U.S. for 2023. The company will activate at five of the league's North American competitions, four on the Championship Tour and one on the Challenger Series.
"We believe that cybersecurity and privacy on the internet must be easy and simple for everybody. Therefore, we try to be present where the casual users spend most of their time. The World Surf League has a strong online presence with 100M+ followers across various platforms and a lot of people watching the competitions online. So, it makes perfect sense for us to work together with the WSL to spread awareness of digital security and privacy," says Regimantas Urbanas, Chief Marketing Officer at Surfshark.
