Now, the League is expanding the concept of jersey color for use exclusively at all Rip Curl WSL Finals events moving forward, with five distinct colors -- yellow, blue, pink, green and orange -- selected to designate rankings one through five in the new Finals format.

In addition to the unique colors for this year's jerseys, the designs for each rankings tier incorporate the artwork of renowned local surfer and artist Jeff Lukasik. Jeff's work is inspired by his travels as he explores life and nature with a freestyle realism.
As part of a larger collaboration, including the overall event branding and a mural at the Rip Curl store in San Clemente, Lukasik has created five stunning visions of the natural beauty of Lowers that are incorporated into the jersey designs.
Inclusion of this imagery is a nod to the decade-plus "Save Trestles" campaign that successfully protected the delicate watershed that forms this world-famous wave from the threat of a proposed toll road that would have destroyed it.
