We look forward to welcoming you to Victoria, the event capital of Australia and proud host of the Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro.
Our Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most spectacular places, famous not only for surfing, but for its wildlife, fishing, natural scenery and unrivalled coastline.
Victoria is also home to some of the best regional events in Australia including the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Apollo Bay Seafood Festival.
With more local and international visitors travelling to regional Victoria than ever before, these events give us a great opportunity to showcase our beautiful regions to both visitors and locals, and we're proud to support them through the Victorian Government's Major Events Fund and the $20 million Regional Events Fund.
Since 2014, the Victorian Government has supported over 180 regional events. These events draw visitors from far and wide keeping our bars, restaurants, and hotels busy and boost local economies.
That is why we're proud to support and stage the Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro, in Torquay.
I hope you all enjoy this fantastic event and I encourage everyone to explore everything the region has to offer.
