Situated at Lagundri Bay on the island of Nias, this classic right hand reef/point is truely one of the world's greatest waves. The wave delivers incredible barrel sections along with pristine wave faces that allow for powerful performances. This event is certain to attract Indonesia's rapidly emerging and established talents on the WSL Qualifying Series.

Tipi Jabrik from the Asian surfing circuit is excited about the continued growth of WSL events throughout the region offering excellent prize money and essential point opportunities to the talented Indonesian surfers.

Entries are now open for the Nias Pro and surfers should carefully watch the event schedule as the Asia Region WSL Office is confident that we will shortly announce two more amazing Indonesian events to run straight after the Nias Pro - The Simeulue Pro and the West Sumbawa Pro.
The Asia office is doing what it can to confirm all three events to provide an amazing late August early September run through the Southeast Asian nation.
