Following his win in Round Three, Heat 11 at the Vans US Open of Surfing Patrick Gudauskas spent a few moments savoring his win. He had just used a big frontside punt to advance in a tight match-up over current runaway Qualifying Series leader Jesse Mendes and the runner-up at the Corona Open J-Bay, Frederico Morais. But there was little time to savor victory, as it was time to root on his younger sibling. Out in the lineup in the very next heat was his little brother, Tanner, looking to put two Gudauskas' into Round Four.
