Years and years of experience surfing at Cloudbreak pays off on days when the waves are less than perfect. While Kolohe Andino repeatedly chose set waves that appeared to have good lines, but ultimately petered out, Bede Durbidge waited patiently for waves that drew more water off the reef, which created steeper, bowly sections. The difference was clear in the end: Andino surfed well, but Durbidge chose superior waves.
