LOS ANGELES, California/USA (Friday, June 2, 2017) - The World Surf League (WSL) today announced that Dave Prodan has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Brand Identity.
Serving as VP of Communications since 2013, Dave will continue to manage the League's communications mechanism while building out a global team dedicated to the further development and celebration of the WSL brand.
"I'm very humbled to have been considered for this position and equally humbled to be able to accept knowing I have an international collective of passionate and insightful colleagues at the WSL to work alongside," said Prodan. "I think we're all very fortunate to be able to work in this space, with great people and world-class athletes as well within a sport and culture that has such transformative abilities. Very much looking forward to working in this capacity on the next evolution of the WSL."
A 12-year employee of the WSL, Dave started as a Media Intern before accepting a role as North America Media Manager in 2006. From there, he moved to International Media Manager, International Media Director and most recently VP of Communications, working across multiple departments, athletes and administrators.
The WSL is thrilled to have someone of Mr. Prodan's experience, perspective and insight move into the SVP of Global Brand Identity role.
