Lakey Peak's Oney Anwar picked up where he left off yesterday, putting on an exciting display of huge turns, hooks and innovative aerials. The Indonesian natural-footer posted the first and only perfect 10-point ride of the event thus far in his Round Three heat. He followed up with an 8.75 to take his accumulative total to 18.75 (out of a possible 20 points) and cemented his position into tomorrow's fourth round.

"I was so happy they rescheduled four heats yesterday as I thought the point could have a few good waves today," said Anwar. "The waves just keep getting better and better. I knew that the judges wanted to see big turns, not flicky turns so I just went for it. My boards are actually designed for that reason, so I'm stoked it all worked out."
Kiwi standout Te Kehukehu Butler has made his trans-Tasman journey worthwhile making the fourth round of the recent Subway Surf Series Pro Junior, and today taking an impressive victory in his third round heat at the Komunity Project Central Coast Pro. Butler unleashed a healthy mix of snaps and fins-free turns in the heat and as a result was rewarded with a 15.50 heat total.

"The waves are pumping," said Butler. "I've been here around a week so far and these are the best conditions we've had, so to have a heat out there is awesome. It's always good to fly the Kiwi flag over here when I'm competing as the best surfers are all here. Hopefully I can get a few more wins under my belt."
After overcoming a recent horrific arm injury, Sydney native Holly Wawn seemed to be in career best form, notching up a massive 17.00 two wave heat total (out of a possible 20 points). The long tapered walls of Avoca Point were perfectly suited to Wawn's trademark power hacks. Wawn executed some mammoth forehand carves to leave her closest rivals chasing two-wave combinations to snatch her lead.

"I feel like I'm getting back to 100% since the injury," said Wawn. "It's good to have these sort of waves here as I feel like I don't have to rush as much as I would have with a beachie and I can let my surfing do the talking."
Dimity Stoyle showed why she was a former WSL Championship Tour competitor posting two excellent scores in her heat -- a 9.50 and an 8.90. Despite having recently suffered an illness, Stoyle reveled in the playful righthand walls, executing her snaps with tack-sharp precision.

"I've been really sick all week, so this is the first I've surfed," said Stoyle. "I watched the heats yesterday and thought I'd have to ride a really big board, so I was stoked when I turned up today and could ride my normal shortboard and have a lot of fun instead of battling with the elements."
