Exciting news has emerged around Queensland's stand-alone Qualifying Series (QS) event where Flight Centre and Surfing Queensland have joined forces, which will see Australia's leading travel experts come on board as the naming rights partner of the 2017 Flight Centre Burleigh Pro.
The World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series will return early next year to one of the world's most iconic waves at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast with the exciting installment running over four days during the Australia Day weekend.
The addition of a fourth day added to the schedule will see the men's round increase from 96 to 128 of the worlds most talented surfers and 48 women all vying for important (QS) points on their quest to for a spot on the World Championship Tour (WCT).

"For any avid surfer, travelling and surfing our most desired surf destination are two activities that have historically always gone hand-in-hand, so the alliance between Flight Centre and Surfing Queensland for the 2017 Flight Centre Burleigh Pro was nothing but a natural fit," said Surfing Queensland's CEO Adam Yates.
Flight Centre Travel Group's General Manager of Marketing, Darren Wright says the Burleigh Pro is parallel with the companies DNA to travel and surf the iconic surf destination the world has to offer.
