Bruce Irons knows the intricacies of Backdoor Pipeline better than anyone. Even after decades spent surfing the deadly reef, the wave's sheer power and beauty keep him coming back for more. Here he threads another backlit beauty for his second GoPro Challenge entry.

The GoPro Challenge is a contest-within-a-contest, in which CT athletes can submit GoPro videos from a contest venue during the event waiting period. A panel of five judges selects the best for prize of $10k USD, and some cinematic bragging rights. Watch all the GoPro Challenge entries.
