Whether it's perfect Pipeline or wonky Backdoor, Kelly Slater has experienced nearly every face of the infamous reef. And today, amid a crossed-up swell, it was no surprise when the 7x Pipe Master found a few clean Backdoor gems. His pair of 6's were enough to take a commanding Round One win over Australian Kai Otton and Brazilian rookie Caio Ibelli.
