Brazilian surfer Deivid Silva secured a Round Two win Wednesday at the Billabong Pro Cascais with a steady forehand attack. Silva first stepped into surfing's spotlight last May, when he took down then-World No. 1 Matt Wilkinson at the elite-level Oi Rio Pro. After that, Silva's results on the QS were less than stellar, but he bounced back earlier this month at the Quiksilver Pro Casablanca, where he won the event.
Silva so far has carried that momentum to Cascais. Australian upstart Jack Robinson also advanced out of their heat.
