Today was the final day for 2015 WSL Japan Tour Event, Men's QS 1,500 event "MURASAKI SHONAN OPEN 2015" at Kugenuma Beach, Fujisawa, Kanagawa.
Today the event went on schedule with the round of 32 all the way and crowned the champion later this afternoon.
The conditions at Kugenuma Beach this morning were 3 to 4 ft. On shore conditions with beautiful weather.
Today WSL and event promoter called the surfers this morning 7 AM at the first call to get in the Final round.
In fantastic conditions 1 local surfer and 1 American surfer, 1 Brazilian, 1 Hawaian moves to the Semi finals. Semi fainal heat 1, Luel Felipe (BRA) has 8.00 and back up point 7.00 total score 15.00 to Kaito Kino (HAW) 6.40 and 6.00 total 12.40, took Kion out advance to final. Heat 2 Kanoa Igarashi (USA) VS Kaito Ohashi (JPN), Igarashi has 8.50 highest score of the heat back up point 6.65 total 15.15 point, and Ohashi made 8.25 + 7.80 total score 16.05 took Igarashi out from Semi Final Ohashi advance to Final. 30min final Ohashi made 8.65 top score back up 7.25 total 15.90, Felipe he still going strong to get his winning action 8.25 and back up point 7.75 total score 16.00 Luel Felipe is Murasaki Shonan Open 2015 Champion.

Next stop on 2015 WSL JAPAN TOUR is Junior Men's,
Junior Girl's and Cadet (U16), $5,000-, JR1,000 event, "Go Pro Junior Games" at Tsurigasaki Beach, Ichinomiya, Chiba next August 1st and 2nd.
The event boasts a long waiting period of 7days to put the athletes in action only on the best conditions on offer.

Kugenuma Kaigan in Fujisawa,Kanagawa is located in the center of the Shonan area where the area is famed nation wide as a fine resort area centered with the famous Enoshima Island.
Last year 2014 Shonan Open attracted over
18,000 fans to the event as the largest surf event in Japan and this year again to be held in the long weekend including the National Holiday, this year the event is expected to attract even more fans for the 2015 edition along with the conjunction events. The beaches opened nation wide on July 1st and means the summer season is here. Don't miss all the fun at the event.
The QS1, 500 events start the waiting period July 14th.
Tuesday and on Saturday, July 19th the Longboard single fin masters and JPBA event by the finest body boarders will on stand by as a conjunction event.
