With under 10 minutes remaining in his Round 3 heat at the J-Bay Open, Michel Bourez (PYF) raced down the line for a 9.50, the exact score he needed to tie Bede Durbidge (AUS). Because Bourez had a better overall ranking at the end of the 2014 season, he got the nod and advanced into Round 4.
